Last day of filming Pt.2

Hi my readers!                After the credit scene we moved on to a quite important part of the opening. Once she walked out and was about to walk out of her house a very important phrase was said. Margo said "Bye mom" which a certain tone that did gave insight to the readers, she didn't say I love you or said bye in a happy tone.  Margo's mom responded "Bye Margo, have a successful day" her mom didn't say I love you, she didn't say have a nice day, no. Instead she said have a successful day which does show a lot about the relationship between Margo and her mom.              It gives insight on the idea that Margo's mom cares a whole lot about her future and being successful, maybe even more then her being happy. Right after that Margo banged the front door. Which showed how her moms reaction made her feel. Filming this section was not as difficult, since Margo was the only one in the scene and its just displays hr walking out of the door. Th

Last day of filming pt.3

Hi my dear people!         In continuation to Margo walking out and banging the door, the next very important part of this film comes along. Right now Margo is wearing her girly outfit and her hair is completely back up. She looks like a happy little girl but little do we know who she actually is yet. Margo walks out her door and stops walking for a second. Here we decided to use a close up scene of Margo putting her hair down and saying the very important phrase "Today is the day" This makes the opening more intriguing and it makes the viewer, what is next? What is to come? What is Margo about to do? today is the day for what?               We decided to include this phrase for the very purpose of keeping our audile interested and want to continue watching the rest of the film . When Margo says this phrase she also has a look on her face, the look that says I am up to something, the what some would call the "bad girl" look. This shows contrast between the charact

Let's go shopping!

Hello my beautiful people! I am currently in Punta Cana on a beautiful vacation, Sara is in Very, and Isabella is also traveling. Although most of us are not here the show must go on! Which is why Daniella at home has gone on a shopping trip to buy different things which we are going to utilize for the credit scene of our opening. Daniella went to two multiple locations, one CVS pharmacy which is a local pharmacy here in the city of Weston, Daniella also went to AC Moore which is an arts and crafts utility store also in the city of wasting. 1. Lipstick:We bought lipstick which the idea of writing part of the credits in a mirror with pink/red lipstick which I have seen in multiple teenage drama film openings. 2. White shirts: Daniella bought two white shirts in which we are going to write credits I it as well and turn the shirt around and write another credit. 3. Nail polish: The nail polish is going to be used to spill the nailpolish and write other credits on the spill.

Angles and composition

Good morning readers!                 My group and I strongly believe that shots, angles, and composition are extremely important towards  a successful scene, and the showing of the different components of a scene. Because of this believe we have decided to incorporate a variety of shots that display all the parts of the scene that we want to include. We utilized extreme close ups, high angles, over the shoulder shots, low point of view shots, establishing shots, middle shots and we did this for the purpose of success and understating. In our filming of the study hall scene where Margo confesses to Liam that she is running away we incorporated angles and shots. In order to show that Margo was hiding her running away clothe in her backpack we incorporated an over the shoulder shot where it clearly showed to the viewers that she has bunch of clothe in her  backpack instead of books or notebooks which is what would normally be inside of a students backpack. What this shot also did is tha

Filming day three

Image
Good evening my dear readers!         Today was filming day three, where we shot the classroom scene between Margo and Liam, this shot is vital to the opening since it is the sho that fully reveals exactly what is going to occur in the movie, it is the climax, and opening insight into what is to come. In this shot Margo stressfully walks into her study hall class and has an encounter with her boyfriend Liam, this is the vital moment where she tells Liam that she is leaving. We move on to find out that Liam is planning on coming with Margo, we decided to include this to show the strength of love between Liam and Margo.         Before filming we started shooting out ideas on where we wanted to film this shot, at first we wanted to shot this clip in Ms.Marchetti's classroom but we came to conclusion that we are going to film nowhere else. Why? well there were multiple other rooms discussing their openings in the room, we needed the sound to be able to focus only on what we are sayin

Filming details

Hello Everyone     I want to further elaborate on certain things we did to upgrade our filming outcomes. 1.Sound:       We placed Isabella's phone on the upper part of the car seat so that it can clearly obtain the clicking of the seatbelt, the starting of the car and Tomas's line of "Where to Next?" This contrast from our first day of filming n which we had the phone placed just on my lap, when we went to evaluate our previous sound recordings which at fist we thought was clear we noticed that Liam's line was not as loud and clear was we were aiming for it to be. With our second recording we noticed that it now was exactly how we needed it and wanted it to be. Our sound for that shot is now very well done and can be more then clearly heard. 2.Stabilization:         As we went back to analyze our previous work on filming day, we noticed it was somewhat shaky. In order to fix this issue we utilized our surroundings towards our benefit. What we decided to do is

Filming day two!

Hi readers! Guys. you are not going to believe what happened!               Today as we got into class we encountered a major obstacle, as Tomas walked in (character who plays Liam) We noticed that he had gotten a haircut, this completely affected the continuity of our opening because we felt that we couldn't have scenes where his hair is long and all of a sudden it is short. Because of this we decided that we had to refilm the shots previously filmed. Not just that but Tomas had forgotten to bring the same outfit that he had been wearing in the previous filming day.               We went back to film the parking lot shot but we were aiming to achieve more filming and not just that shot. As we were walking to the parking lot we encountered two major obstacles, one it began to rain which meant we had to run to the parking lot because we definitely did not want Daniella's camera to get wet. We finally got to the parking lot and noticed Daniella's camera battery was abut to
Hello my beautiful readers!       Today we filmed, which was very exciting. As I explained in the previous blog we have decided to film part of our movie opening in school and that is exactly what we did in school. I specifically wore the outfit which we had decided last class which was black jeans a blackshirt and black hightop which match the edgy personality of the character (Margo). I have my aice media class Eight period which is the period where we did the filming. My group and I, accompanied by Tomas Quilaqueo and Rafael Sanchez went out to the parking lot of the school to do our filming. We moved onto film the last sense of the movie opening which consist of Liam and Margo getting in the car, buckling up, and saying "Where to Next?" We decided to say this phrase and end it exactly right there because it will create interest and creates a major cliff hanger for the viewers. It also works towards creating interest and appeals to the viewers want to continue watc

Hello hello dear readers! We are currently in a vital moment of our production!      Casting highly affects each and every film production and my group and I are taking this process very seriously. We have three main roles to cast and the rest will be extras. My group and I has decided that I will be playing Margo, the teenage female who ran away, because of my outgoing and fearless personality which is the personality that we are striving for. Some of our inspiration comes from the film, "10 things I hate about you":         The female lead incorporates a very similar personality to the one we want. Katerina Stratford is a fearless, outgoing, girl who does not care what people thing, she is rebellious and breaks the rules. She is a girl who if she wants something she gets it, this benefits our goal because we want the character to act that why which is why I will be playing the role. We decided to name her Margo because of the vibe that comes with the name, we also went

Hey readers, Hope everyone is having a great day!     My group and I have made a major addition to our production for our film opening. Sara, Isabella, Daniella, and I have decided to incorporate a male role into the opening and are on the lookout of an actor to play the role. Teenagers love romance, boy problems and boy drama. This decision is backed up on our research, as I looked up the most successful teenage drama fils I firmly can conclude that there is come type of romance or male role incorporated to form some type of boy trouble and boy drama. Why is this done because it is what the viewer wants to see. What the viewers is intrigued by and what is most successful. This is a picot of the most successful teenage drama films every single one of these films have a male role that creates some type of romantic effect or drama into the film itself: Because of my research we have confidently made this decision.  High School ,Teen, Drama, Issues,Girly Films - IMDbhttps://www.imdb.
HI everyone!     This week has been so full of work, and planning for this project, I have a lot to converse with you guys. In Ms.Marchetti's aice media class, we went into groups and discussed weaknesses and strengths of each individual project and multiple things that we could do and change to improve the level of success and professionalism of our blogs and the film opening as well. I was partnered up with students Sara Joseph, Felipe Marchan, and Tomas Quilaqueo. We went in a circled and each of us discussed what our opening was going to be about, and we displayed our blogs.      Tomas Quilaqueo went first and he explained us his short movie which is going to be a boxing film opening, with a plot of a boxer who suffers a head injury and wakes up in a hospital with no recollection of who he is or what has happened. Next, Sara Joseph displayed her different blog posts and we gave her different constructive criticism that she could incoorporate into her blogposts. Felipe Marchan
Hi my dear readers!      A very important common aspects in teenage drama films is the location, multiple films which I will be showing in a few, have a certain thing in common. A hot spot, a common spot where the teenagers meet and go to often. We have decided to incorporate this into our opening since it is very common in high success rate films.

Hello readers! Hope everyone had a great weekend and is well rested and happy!      As I said in previous blog posting, the team and I have come into conclusion that I will be playing the teenager runaway, we have made this conclusion  because of further research. There are two themes behind this decision. 1.Stereotypes 2.Bringing a message. What do I mean by stereotypes? I have made certain conclusion because of my research, part of my research came from: http://teenstereotypeportrayals.blogspot.com/2013/04/stereotypes-in-teen-movies.html , The stereotypes in teen movies, specially teenage drama has influenced young girls all over the world. Teen drama films utilize stereotypes all the time, for example: The mean girl, The good girl, The mean girl, The rebel, The loner, The "perfect" girl, The nerd, the loser, etc. You guys get the point. Example 1: The edge of seventeen The edge of 17 is a teenage drama film in which stereotypes play a key role in the movie, t

Hey guys, I'm back!      Isabella, Sara, Daniela, and I  are currently planning a schedule on our filming days. This is being more complicated then it should be, because we all have different schedules and are busy in different days. We have decided that during most weekdays after school meet ups most of the time are not gonna be achievable because of after school clubs, or activities. Sara, and Isabella are both in the water polo team and have very rigorous schedules when it comes to this. Daniela is on the swim team and has practice everyday after school, and I have track practices or HOSA meeting after school. I have made a calendar to be fully organized and be aware of possible meeting days and days a member of the team might be absent.          As observed in calendar attached, upcoming weekends and spring break as well which is from march 21st until march 31st, at least one team member will be unable to meet up. Because of this we have decided to continue to meet during th
Hi beautiful people!              This week has been extremely stressful, definitely one of the most stressful week's yet. On Monday my group and I have been planning exactly what the specific theme of our movie opening is going to evolve around. Sara, Daniela, Isabella and I have officially decided to base our opening on a teen runaway's. On Monday we did research that allowed us to fully decide on this idea.  According too  http://www.ncsl.org/research/human-services/homeless-and-runaway-youth.aspx teen runaway is an extreme matter in the world today, 1 in every 7 people from 10-18 year old are estimated to run away from their homes, as I have discussed in one of my previous posts, our goal is to make our movie opening something that is highly relevant to the struggles and emotions teenagers constantly feeling and going through. We have also decided to have a female leading role, with our, runaway theme, we decided to do that because 75% of teen runaway's are female tee
